Artur "Baron" Wiecek |
Born 1967. Graduate of the Acting
Department of the National Theater Academy (1991). Director,
screenwriter, producer. For many years he has been working for
Public Television, where he made the first series of
“Conversations at the End of the Century.” Director of “A History
of Philosophy in Highlanders’ Style” based on the writings of Rev.
J. Tischner. The film was awarded by the National Council
for Radio and Television and it also received an award at the Prowincjonalia Festival in Wrzesnia. |

Co-screenwriter of the television
films “This House is Haunted” and “This House is Still Haunted”
and author of the animated film “Kleofas in the World of
Capitalism,” which explains the basic concepts of economics.
“Kleofas” was awarded by the Foundation of Entrepreneurship. For
his feature film debut "Angel in Cracow" won Best Directorial
Debut Award at the PFF Gdynia 2002. |
