Stasio
Tuchala, an elderly bachelor living in Sucha Wolka, is alone after
his sister leaves for America. He soon becomes very lonely and has
difficulty running his business so his friends, Waclaw and Henryk,
decided to find a wife for him. They find three candidates for
Stasio, including two housewives and a Ukrainian woman, but Stasio
only wants a girl he saw on a magazine cover. As a result Stasio
and his friends place an ad in a newspaper; but it is not a
realistic endeavor – Stasio is not a handsome and wealthy man. In
the meantime a village mayor wrongs Mokry’s – a leader of the gang
from the neighboring village of Mokra Wolka. Demanding revenge,
the villagers take action. |
