Spring, 1978, a town near Wroclaw. Little Szymon unwittingly becomes the perpetrator of a car accident that results in the death of the parents of a small girl, Magda. She escapes unhurt, but he is stigmatized.
Summer, 2000. Szymon is a railroad worker and Magda (Mimi) is the dynamic boss of a cosmetics firm. Mimi does not remember the accident that occurred years ago. She actually does not remember anything of her childhood. Her life is busy with work and techno-music. At a dance she meets Szymon who, tormented by feelings of guilt, has tried to track her for 20 years. At first reluctantly and then with more and more fascination she travels into her past to discover what has been lost and at last to learn more about herself.
