Synopsis: |
A moral dispute about life's
choices, shown by the confrontation of two scientists who studied
physics together in their
youth.One of them, Marek, becomes a brilliant scientist with an
excellent career, the other, Jan, decides to work as a meteorologist at
a countryside outpost. Two different models of life, a pragmatic and an
idealistic one, as well as two different personalities collide when
Marek comes to Jan's humble quarters to persuade him to come back to
Warsaw and pursue a rewarding academic work. His arguments do not
convince Jan.
