Children in Exile
(Dzieci na zesłaniu)
Polish survivors of Soviet deportation to Siberia during the Second World War describe their experiences as the youngest victims of the deadly Soviet system. Combining interviews with archival photographs, archival film footage, and artwork created by survivors, this documentary reveals a poignant picture of these extremely difficult circumstances experienced by children and teenagers. The film's director is also beginning on a companion work, Women In Exile about the fate of women in Soviet labor camps.
