A young man, who lives in a drab and dreary Silesia (Śląsk), falls in love with a Ukrainian immigrant, several years his senior. He is ready to do anything to secure her legal residency in Poland, but the criminal surroundings around him, manifested in gangsters running illegal boxing matches and debt collection rackets, are causing him to fight a losing battle – but, a battle he cannot abandon.
