Jacek Bromski

Jacek Bromski

Born on December 19, 1946 in Wrocław, Poland. He was a student of Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw and the Warsaw Fine Arts Academy. Bromski graduated from the National Film School in Łódź in 1978 with a degree in film directing. He debuted as a film director in 1984 with a Ceremonia pogrzebowa which won him the “Best Directing Debut” at the 1985 Gdynia Film Festival. He is the president of the Polish Filmmakers Association and over the past three decades he has directed several of Poland’s biggest box office hits.
