Fifth Season (Piąta pora roku)

Seemingly very unlike each other: they have dissimilar backgrounds, different values and life experiences. Witek (Marian Dziędziel) is a widower and a professional driver who has driven thousands of kilometers but has never actually left Silesia. Barbara (Ewa Wiśniewska) is a retired music teacher having difficulties with pulling her life together after the loss of a companion - a painter with whom she spent the most beautiful years of her life. Yet in their loneliness they are drawn to each other. The journey of the two main characters is a reason for reviewing the current situation in Poland. It’s a portrait of Poland after 20 years of democracy.
