Henry Vars A Songster Of Warsaw (Henryk Wars. Pieśniarz Warszawy)

This documentary honors the life and service of a famous Polish composer, Henryk Wars (1902-1977). A native of Warsaw, a student of Karol Szymanowski at the Warsaw Conservatory, Wars composed music that is still widely recognized and loved. The composer’s son tells the story of his difficult years in the States after he emigrated there from the U.K. when the WW II finished. Many of his greatest hits are featured in the film's soundtrack.
