Hope (Nadzieja)

Franciszek, a young man in his twenties, accidentally witnesses the theft of a precious painting from a small Warsaw church. He records the whole incident using his amateur camera. The thief turns out to be Benedykt Weber, a respected gallery owner and art expert. The young filmmaker promises not to expose Weber on the condition that the painting is returned to its rightful place. Unfortunately, the work of art is due to leave the country...
