How to live? (Jak żyć?)

Kuba, upon hearing from Ewa, his girlfriend, that he is going to be a father, realizes he needs to change his life and seeks the guidance of his three uncles. He follows their advice and becomes a responsible and resourceful family man. But as his relationship with Ewa ultimately disintegrates, he realizes that happiness is not prescriptive. An emotional blow-up lands him in prison. Through conversations with his cellmate, Kuba reflects on his experiences, his approach to adulthood and what it means to have authority and values.
