Our Kasprowy (Nasz Kasprowy)

It is a touching story about the millions of Poles who experienced extraordinary emotions on the Kasprowy Wierch cable car. Built in 1935, the aerial tramway is one of the oldest in Europe. Bound together with the stories of the passengers are the stories about the people who built the cable car. Set in the beautiful landscape of the Tatras, the story presents the history of Poland pre-war until modern times told through its unique passengers, from President Ignacy Mościckiego ranging through the entire post-war establishment party, world athletes, and even Pope John Paul II. Millions of people have flocked to these mountains for hiking, climbing, and skiing, and it is for these people that this film was made. Memories of extraordinary people, unique artifacts, historic photographs, anecdotes, religion, and humor combine to tell the story, including the construction of the new railway.
