The Seattle Polish Film Festival organizes a competition every year to select a poster for that year’s festival. Anyone is welcome to participate. There are no restrictions on who can submit an entry. The artists’ names are not disclosed to the voting team members. All team members receive only the images with assigned numbers and are allowed to vote for only one poster. The poster that gets the highest number of votes wins the competition. If there are two posters with an equal number of votes, a runoff round with just those two posters is conducted to select the winner.
We are adding this information to our website to clarify the process to anyone who might have questions about the competition, how it is organized, and how the winner is selected. We are always striving for fairness and transparency where outside participation is included. In most years, we receive a good number of entries of very high quality, but unfortunately, only one winner can be selected. We are thankful to all the artists who participated and appreciate the creative effort put into the designs. We hope that we will continue to receive high-quality designs in the coming years. Sharing all the posters submitted in this year’s competition.
